Sarah Lane transferred into UWF's B.F.A Musical Theatre program in 2018 after receiving her A.A in Theatre from Pensacola State College. She was welcomed into this family of a program with open arms from the professors and students. She quickly joined the honor society, APO, and it had been like she was here all along. Here at UWF she trained in singing, dancing, and acting while also getting to focus on what she really wants to do.

     Sarah is training to become a college level theatre professor. She has been blessed with many opportunities, through UWF, to learn and grow in this skill hands on. When the department received a call form N.B. Cook Elementary School of the Arts, her professors worked to customize a class for her so she could go twice a week and help teach their drama club. Together with the drama teacher there, she helped put on the show Babes in Toyland with the talented group of kids.

     In her final two semesters, Sarah got the opportunity to be the teacher's assistant for Sara Schoch and her "Voice for the Actor" and "Movement for the Actor" classes. That is where she found her true passion. She plans to move forward and continue studying Voice and Movement for her master degree. 

     Sarah did her fair share of performing while at UWF as well. In her four semesters there she was blessed to be cast in five full productions and one fundraiser production. The productions include A Christmas Carol (Ms. Marvel), The Little Mermaid (Ensemble), and First Date (Allison, Google, Woman 2).

     Although her time at UWF was short, Sarah learned so much and wouldn't trade a moment of it. She looks forward to working with her fellow classmates in a professional setting and seeing just how bright they all shine! She is excited for life after graduation and looks forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for her future!
