Rebecca Douglas

BFA Music Theatre & BA Communications

Rebecca Douglas is a singer, actor, dancer from New Port Richey, Florida. Throughout her time at UWF she learned to have an open heart and mind for her art. Rebecca's favorite roles from her time at UWF include Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, and Bianca in Othello. On top of performing in numerous mainstage productions, she also student directed two cabarets for the Theatre Department: Princesses and Villians and Heros, Oh My! and A Night at the Movies.

During the summer of her sophomore year she decided to add a major in Communications. Her skills include communication leadership, management, and t.v./ film production.  Her senior year she was an intern for Pensacola Opera.

Rebecca Douglas has appeared in numerous commercials for Pensacola Opera and Textbook Brokers. In March of 2019, Rebecca got cast in a Netflix Original: The Devil All the Time.  On set she worked with Antonio Campos one on one and received an unforgettable experience. The film will be premiering on May 18th, 2020. Make sure to tune in!

Lastly, Rebecca started her musical theatre career at Hawks Cay Resort in the Florida Keys. She got to bring joy and happiness to families from all around the world as a resident entertainer. She starred in The Swashbuckling Pirate Show! as Koral the Mermaid and sang live pop/rock vocals on the weekends.

Rebecca is thankful for the extended family  she gained from attending UWF. She wants to thank her friends and family for their unconditional love and support. She is looking forward to her bright future in the arts and all the stories that come with it! Following graduation, Rebecca will be working at Show Palace Dinner Theatre in Hudson, Florida. She will be performing in Mamma Mia! and A Christmas Story.
