Eduardo Marin is an actor, singer, strong mover from Bonita Springs, FL. After graduating from Florida School of the Arts, Eduardo took a break from school where he debated if this was something he really wanted to do. During his break from school he worked with the Center for Fine and Performing Arts of Bonita Springs on the side filling in roles for the Ten Minute Play festivals and assisting with music direction for their musicals. Realizing that there was nothing else in the world he’d prefer to do he decided to audition for University of West Florida, which looking back was the best decision he’s made since deciding to try sushi.

Coming in as a transfer after a year off of school was interesting, he hit the ground running getting cast in the ensemble of The School for Scandal directed by Marci Duncan. That spring Eduardo hit the stage as the Kelp Bed (amongst other things, but most notably the Kelp Bed) in The Little Mermaid directed by Sara Schoch. In the summer before his senior year, Eduardo booked his first professional gig (#BookedandBlessed) at Tecumseh! Outdoor Drama in Chillicothe, OH. A very triumphant summer for him; he learned how to fight with a spear, mounted a horse for the first time, and survived a summer on a mountain without air conditioning. Outdoor theatre is something every performer should do once. During his senior year, Eduardo was cast as the waiter in First Date directed by Corey McKern and loved every second of it. This spring he was going to hit the stage as Mr.Cladwell in Urinetown, but was unfortunately cancelled.

Eduardo always said that he came to UWF at the right time, and he sticks to that statement. The education he’s received here has made him a well rounded performer and he’s ready to become the professional he’s meant to be. He would like to thank the faculty of the UWF Theatre department for their advice, their support, and their generosity of spirit. His friends, who are a never ending source of laughter and excitement. His family, who are all of the above and more, the reason this was all possible. He (I) did it!
